Call for landscape architects

House Beautiful magazine are looking for a landscape architect to take part in a feature article they are producing.

They would like to include an “expert view.” In each case, the landscape architect needs to identify one thing that every homeowner should do, and one thing they would be advised to avoid. Each response should be around two or three sentences long, so around four-six sentences in total, between 50-100 words.

Driveway: How to give your driveway a lift, particularly anything that is practical and hard-wearing.

Outdoors: This is outdoor space in general – they’re looking for ideas which will add quality and long-term investment to a property over time – and ones to avoid which are gimmicky.

Joining the house to the garden: This means practical and visual ways of taking the house out into the garden, and bringing the outdoors in. It could be something as simple as installing French doors, or creating a walkway.
