Stirling Prize 2008 winner

13th October 2008

Landscape Institute registered practice, Grant Associates were part of the Accordia winning team for the Stirling Prize 2008, and were also the first landscape architects invited to speak at the award ceremony.

Accordia, the housing project in Cambridge led by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, in conjunction with Alison Brooks Architects and Maccreanor Lavington Architects was praised for setting a new standard for large scale housing design in the UK. The scheme is recognised for its integration of landscape with housing, creating quality green streets and squares, distinctive mews, play areas and useful open space.

Accordia provides a new model for outside and inside life and is the first housing scheme to have won this prestigious award.
