Project to deliver sustainable communities in East London lauded as top landscape scheme in UK
20th Nov 2008A project to tackle the effects of climate change and produce sustainable communities in east London was today recognised as the top landscape architecture scheme in the country.
Future Vision 09 - open for entries
18th Nov 2008The Academy for Sustainable Communities is calling for entries for Future Vision 09, the student awards which champion bright ideas for creating better places for people. Last year, landscape architecture stole the show, with a student from Kingston University securing the top prize.
Grounds for Optimism
17th Nov 2008Grounds for Optimism launched successfully to secondary schools across South East England and Yorkshire and Humberside this September. 100 schools have now signed up to take part along with many landscape practices.
Applications for Chair of the Solent Centre for Architecture + Design
12th Nov 2008After almost five years serving as Chair of the Solent Centre for Architecture + Design, David Ashe has decided to step down from the post. The SCA+D is therefore working to appoint a new Chair in December in order for them to take over the role at the time of the AGM in June 2009.
TCPA Policy Advice Note published

The British Homes Awards Sustainable Landscape Architecture Competition
04th Nov 2008In partnership with the Building Research Establishment (BRE) and The Landscape Institute (LI), the British Homes Awards invites submissions for a two-stage open design competition from members of The Landscape Institute and Landscape Institute Registered Practices. This competition offers the opportunity to showcase innovative, sustainable design for the new landscape to be created for the Phase 2 expansion of the BRE Innovation Park at Garston, Watford.
