Camden Design Awards

31st January 2008

Designers in Camden have been invited to nominate their work for the Camden Design Awards.

Established 10 years ago, the Camden Design Awards celebrate examples of innovative, sustainable and high quality design throughout the borough. Former winners include the Roundhouse Theatre in Chalk Farm, New City Learning Centre in Somers Town and Kentish town CE Primary School.

Cllr Mike Greene, Executive Member for Environment, Camden Council said:

“This event provides a great opportunity to involve designers, local people as well as those visiting the borough in celebrating its many inspiring and attractive features.

“By giving everyone in Camden the chance to nominate, we hope to raise awareness of inspiring design and achievements in building and regeneration within the borough.”

A range of developments will be considered for the awards. They can be new or refurbished buildings, public spaces or street art. All are eligible provided they were completed between July 2006 and January 2008.

Award winners and those who nominate them will be invited to a reception in June where the winners will be presented with commemorative plaques.
