Academy for Sustainable Communities' climate change consultation

13th September 2007

The Academy for Sustainable Communities' climate change consultation ends this Sunday 16th September.

Recent research undertaken by ASC shows that many professionals working in sustainable communities are aware that climate change issues are of ever increasing importance, but don’t know how to incorporate an understanding of those issues in to what they do.

To this end, ASC plans to publish an online information resource aiming to demystify climate change. The resource will set out clear information about climate change issues and how they relate to sustainable communities, give practical advice on how to incorporate those issues into your daily job, and provide a signpost to more detailed information.

ASC have commissioned Arup to help them produce this resource. In order to make sure that it is aimed at the right people and covers the right issues, they want to find out what sustainable communities professionals do and don’t know about climate change issues, and what they think they need to know in order to do their job.

To contribute to what is an important part of the Government's research into climate change and how we can respond effectively, complete the survey which can be found here.

Those who complete the survey will be entered into a free prize draw to win a hamper of fair trade goods.
