The Landscape Institute and our members welcome the Draft Rural Development programme and are particularly pleased to see some weight given to landscape character and history, which are given due weight and value alongside the needs of wildlife and its habitats and woodlands in the context of climate change. The statistical information provided in the report is compelling and thorough.
