Free copies of the tool kit 'Connecting Communities, Neighbourhood and Nature' are now available
15th June 2007
The Wildlife Trusts’ Urban Greenspace Project has been working with urban and community Wildlife Trust Projects across the country for nearly three years and from this has published a Toolkit to address the most common issues raised as well as including good practice from a variety of organisations.
The Toolkit has been written to support those working on, or interested in, developing environmental nature based projects that work with and benefit people. Designed to work in conjunction with the 'Urban Greenspace Support Pack: Working with groups' (available in CD format), both publications use a mixture of key facts, case studies and best practice, but also suggest a number of practical activities that can be adapted to suit the needs of different groups or organisations. They can be used by environmental workers, and community development workers, who support communities and groups involved in environmental projects.
Copies of the Toolkit and Support Pack are available from the Urban Greenspace Team and are free of charge, whilst stocks last.
