Wilderness and Inner Space Conference

A multidisciplinary two-day Conference exploring the theme of Wilderness featuring landscape architects, Gilles Clement, Peter Latz and Mary Bowman.

Conference speakers will also include psychoanalysts, Martin Stanton, Anastasios Gaitanidis and Kevin Jones, eco-psychologist, Mary-Jayne Rust, theologian Leon Schlamm, ecologist Gary Grant, land artist Chris Drury, art historian Stephen Bann and artist Tessa Adams. The sound artist, Stefan Mathieu is a specialist in sounds and landscapes and he will be constructing a sound installation and an exhibition at the conference. He is internationally known in the field of experimental music.

The aim of the event is to open up various practical, creative and theoretical approaches to wilderness in order to explore how they might conflict and complement each other with a view to enabling future on-going collaboration (including follow-up workshops, exhibitions and events).
