Building on the success of environmental futures 07 this year's conference will combine perspectives from government, business, the investment community and others to:
The conference will be chaired by journalist, Elinor Goodman and include keynote speeches from the Rt Hon Hilary Benn MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Rt Hon John Hutton MP, Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform.
Other speakers include Environment Minister Phil Woolas MP; Lord Chris Smith, Chairman of the Environment Agency; Sir Simon Milton, Chariman of the Local Government Association; Sir Michael Pitt, Chair of the Pitt Review which reported on lessons from the 2007 floods; Dr James Hansen, Director of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York, and Richard Gillies, Director of Plan A, Marks and Spencer.
