This Masterclass will provide garden design professionals an understanding of the urgent need for sustainable design, and provide access to information and good practice for its implementation. The Keynote speakers will address the implications of ‘peak oil’ for garden designers, the wealth of benefits that arise from productive gardens and the amazing uses of rainwater within the garden.

Delegates may also choose to attend two of three workshops:

  • Rain Gardens - practical and creative water management techniques
  • Permaculture - an introduction to a wide ranging design path way
  • Productive Gardens - sustaining and beautiful


    • This meeting offers a unique chance to learn from leading experts in the field including Nigel Dunnett, Mark Laurence, Jennifer Lauruol and Tom Petherick.

    This Masterclass in Sustainable Design will also be held in Edinburgh early in 2009.
