'Genius Loci - and the other Gods of Landscape Design‘
Tom Turner argues that the Genius Loci has a central place in landscape practice - now and for at least 4,000 years.
Tom is a landscape architect, town planner and garden historian teaching at the University of Greenwich in London. He is the author of books and articles on landscape and gardens such as City as Landscape, Garden History: Philosophy and Design, 2000 BC--2000 AD and is the editor of the Garden History Reference Encyclopaedia CD (Gardenvisit.com) and the online Gardens Guide.
LASE has now split in to two LI branches - come and find out about the transformations to improve, promote and market the rapidly changing face of landscape architecture in the region and how you are involved in shaping the future of our profession.
