Killerton House was built in 1778 for the Aclands, one of the oldest families in Devon. It is beautifully positioned on the flanks of a hill, surrounded by its glorious garden and parkland. The garden is the great glory of Killerton. It was created in the 1770s by renowned nurseryman and landscape designer John Veitch, and features an abundance of rhododendrons, magnolias, herbaceous borders and rare trees, as well as an ice house and a rustic summerhouse (known as The Bear's Hut). The House and Gardens are owned and managed by the National Trust.
The AGM will take place at 12.30pm, following lunch from midday in the Stable Restaurant. The meeting will be followed by a tour of the garden by the head gardener.
