New SLIC Chair elected
The Student Landscape Institute Council (SLIC) has elected a new Chair…
Rob Baffour of Kingston University takes over from Will Dutch of Writtle School of Design. Baffour has been involved in SLIC since 2010 and played a key role in developing the student conference held this summer.
Asked about his new role, Baffour said: “I'm excited about being chair of SLIC and to continue with the amazing job Will Dutch carried out. I'm looking forward to working alongside members from other universities on a range of events planned this year.”
The meeting also saw the birth of a new mission statement to better direct SLIC’s future work. This reads: ‘SLIC unites student representatives from across the UK. It is a forum for engaging students with the LI and each other via a series of events, competitions and activities.’
