As a key influence on school-leavers and career changers, careers advisors play a crucial role in bringing the best school leavers and graduates into the industry. The day comprised a visit to Atkins Global’s Manchester office, a slightly damp talk in Piccadilly Gardens and a series of 15-minute presentations ranging from the history of landscape to contemporary study options and funding. Feedback from the delegates was extremely positive.

LI Education and Careers Executive Steve Cole said: “Careers advisors have a vital role to play in building the profession so it was great to see so many interested people on the day. This event is a great example of the work that the Institute, professional practices and universities can only achieve by working collaboratively. Hopefully, we’ll see many more of these events in the future.”
