The publication provides a model of agreement between landscape professional and client. The previous edition, published in 1998, is due an update to bring it in line with current regulations and practice.

Working with the Technical Committee, and consulting with individuals and organisations, the successful candidate will be responsible for drafting a revised edition.

A high standard of written English is essential, as is experience of writing detailed contractual documents. Comprehensive knowledge of current regulatory, legal and professional practice is also a prerequisite, while experience of undertaking work in a freelance or consultant capacity is desirable.

To apply for the role, applicants are asked to submit the following:

  1. A copy of their CV
  2. A brief supporting statement, detailing how they meet the criteria
  3. A project plan including: revisions they consider need to be made to the current LCA; changes in the legal, regulatory and policy context that necessitate these revisions; their proposed approach to the project and estimated timeframe for delivery; a breakdown of the component stages of the work and estimated fee.
