Would-be LI trustees should apply by 2 December
The Landscape Institute is seeking an individual to join the eight elected and three other independent members on its board of trustees.
The LI represents 6,000 members including landscape architects, academics, scientists and students. It is an educational charity, holds a royal charter and champions well-designed and well-managed urban and rural landscape.
Independent trustees are valued for adding breadth of experience and skills to the board, and the LI is seeking someone with corporate governance and/or financial expertise. It is also interested in individuals with a legal or human resources background or experience.
Other requirements include commitment to the aims and objectives of the Landscape Institute and an interest in landscape; a good understanding of the duties of a trustee; strategic, visionary thinking; ability to bring fresh ideas to discussion and challenge opinions respectfully; and experience of setting and monitoring budgets.
The closing date for this post is 2 December.
The LI board meets six times a year, usually in London. Trustees are not remunerated, but reasonable expenses are paid. Please contact Chief Executive Phil Mulligan for an informal discussion or full application pack, or telephonel 020 7685 2643
