Experts sought for multidisciplinary panel
Croydon Council is looking for participants for its new multidisciplinary Place Review Panel.
The independent panel will assess the design merits of proposed high-profile schemes across the borough – currently totalling £5 billion in value – as part of the council’s commitment to raising the quality of its built environment and public spaces.
Approximately 20 members are sought, with expertise including planning, landscape architecture and urban design, architecture, conservation, engineering, place-making and culture.
Councillor Paul Scott, chair of the planning committee, said: “The council has recently seen the delivery of several new high-quality built environment schemes, and this review panel will take us a step closer to our goal, as well as hopefully speeding up approvals and therefore saving time and expense for developers.”
