Library and archive services
Library and archive services have changed following the LI’s move to Charles Darwin House. This sets out the main changes that have taken place.
Library books
All books on the Pathway reading list continue to be available for postal loan as before. To request books (two at a time maximum) email the details to Lesley Malone, along with your LI membership number and the address to send loans to. The rest of the library book collection is currently in offsite storage and not available for general loan. In exceptional circumstances, books may be loaned from storage if they are unavailable through any other means, but a charge will apply to cover the costs of retrieval, delivery and return to store.
Journals
Copies of articles from the LI’s journals (Landscape, Landscape Design, Vista and older titles) can still be supplied. All other journals are in offsite storage and again are available only in exceptional circumstances, in which case a charge will apply to cover the costs of retrieval, delivery and return to store.
Archive
The main drawings collections from the LI archive have been relocated to the Garden Museum and are available to LI members and the public.
Please contact the Garden Museum for information on accessing the collections.
Library catalogue
The library catalogue will continue to be available to search online, but there will no longer be a facility for reservations and managing loans. Book requests should be emailed direct instead of submitted via your library account.
