NORWICH RIVERSIDE, LDA DESIGN This 19.6ha mixed-use scheme has been developed on a brownfield site between Norwich railway station and the city centre to create a new urban quarter. LDA Design was joint masterplanner and has been responsible for designing and administering significant areas of the public realm. Design excellence and sound construction practice underpins the commercial success of the project. Led by a joint venture company formed by Railtrack and Gazeley Properties, the development combines leisure, residential and commercial uses with a distinctive new urban framework of streets and squares. The development also provides a 1km long riverside walk that forms a traffic-free link between the city centre and adjoining countryside. Discuss this article
