CPD Days 2012

Following an extremely successful event in October 2011, the LI is running further CPD Day Events. Events are expected to sell out quickly.

Sheffield, 28th March

THIS EVENT HAS NOW SOLD OUT

Location: Sheffield Novotel

Standard Ticket Price: £75

There are three types of ticket available:

  • LI member - anyone who is currently a member (of any grade) of the Landscape Institute.
  • LI member (Unemployed) - anyone who is currently a member of the Landscape Institute but out of work
  • Non-member - all other individuals

Membership status will be checked before your booking is verified.

Every attempt is made to keep the session booking form updated with the latest information concerning availability. Very occasionally a session may become over-subscribed. In this case we will place you on a waiting list for your preferred session but offer you an alternative choice in the meantime.

If you are unable to attend you can transfer your place to a named colleague free of charge up to 72 hours before the event takes place. We are unable to offer refunds once a booking has been made.

We regret we are unable to offer a refund in the event of a speaker cancellation. However, we will make every effort to offer you an alternative session.

Booking will open for the Bristol event (20 June) on 2 April 2012. (The next event has previously advertised as Cardiff but has been changed to Bristol on the advice of the Welsh Branch Committee.)

Call for Expressions of Interest

Download further information and the EOI form as a word or PDF document.

The LI is looking for practitioners and experts willing to share their expertise as part of the next in the series of LI CPD days in 2012/13. The events follow on from the success of a pilot day in London in October 2011 which was attended by over 80 delegates and sold out within three weeks.

The focus of LI CPD days is on technical skills, updates, practical tools and knowledge. Sessions will be practical and informative – delivering knowledge delegates can take away and apply in their professional lives. We are interested in hearing from practitioners who can offer training on any topic, but are particularly interested in the following areas for the next events:

  • Building Information Modelling (BIM)
  • Setting up in practice
  • Acting as an expert witness
  • Green Infrastructure
  • Legislation updates and developments in planning
  • Budget control and effective tendering
  • Photomontage and GLVIA

The closing date for expressions of interest for the Bristol event (to be held on 20th June) is 9th February 2012.
