Associate Membership

Associate Membership is available to those who have completed their initial professional education and are planning to work towards chartered status via the LI’s Pathway to Chartership (P2C)

The most common route to Associate membership is through completion of an accredited course or other EU or overseas course recognised by the LI.

Alternatively, those who have a degree, relevant experience and/or a postgraduate qualification in an area related to landscape may also apply for Associate membership via the LI's Admissions Assessment Panel (please contact the Membership Officer for further details, enclosing your CV in the first instance).

*The LI also recognises, for the purposes of admission to Associate membership, the qualifications of graduates from programmes accredited or recognised by the following: the European Federation of Landscape Architects (EFLA), the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) , the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA), the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) and the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects (NZILA). Please see these organisation's websites for further information.
